PV Sindhu is the only Indian athlete to win the two Olympic medals for India. Sindhu defeated China’s He Bing Jiao in the bronze medal match and register a historic win. The first round against He Bing Jiao seems very easy for PV Sindhu and ends up with 21-13, and the second round He Bing Jiao was trying to come back in the game but PV Sindhu was very active and didn’t give any chance to China’s player to take over the game and finished the second round with 21-15 and won the bronze medal for India.
PV Sindhu’s journey was amazing in Tokyo Olympics and won her first match against Israel Polikarpova Ksenia with 21-7 and 21-10 and played the next match against Hong Kong Cheung Ngan Yi and won the match comfortably with 21-9, 21-16. After that, she played her next match against Denmark Blichfeldt Mia and won the match in just 41 minutes with 21-15 and 21-13 and moved herself to quarterfinals against Japanese player Yamaguchi Akanea and won the first round very easily with 21-13 and the second round was tough for both the players and PV Sindhu won it with 22-20 and moved to Semi-finals against Chinese Tapie Tai Tzu-Ying first round was very hard for both the athletes but Tai Tzu-Ying snatched this round with 21-18, the second round was a comfortable won for Tai Tzu-Ying and won the second round also with 21-12 and moved to finals where PV Sindhu has to face Chinese player He Bing Jiao for the bronze match.
