Happy Lunar New Year!

We here at Zapya would like to wish our users a very happy Lunar New Year! The Lunar New Year festival, also known as the Spring Festival, begins on the first new moon of the lunar calendar and ends on the first full moon. It is the biggest festival that is celebrated in China and is also observed by other Asian countries. The Spring Festival officially begins on January 25th this year.

People celebrate the Lunar New Year by returning to their hometowns and spending quality time with their family members. In fact, there are so many people who return home in preparation for the Spring festival that it is the largest annual human migration in the world. It is forecasted that there will be over 3 billion trips taken this year by those traveling for the Spring Festival.

The beginning of the lunar year also marks the beginning of  the year of the Rat. The Rat is the first sign of the Chinese zodiac, which runs on a twelve-year cycle. People born in the year of the Rat are believed to be optimistic, energetic, sensitive, and very kind. They are best compatible with people born in the year of the Ox , the Dragon, or the Monkey. You are a Rat if you were born in 1960 ,1972, 1984, 1996, or 2008.
